Koichi and Elizabeth
by Connor Elizabeth Arnette
Prologue: The Intro
“OH GREAT!” Zoë commented. “We missed the exit! Whose idea was this AGAIN?!” Kouji, Koichi, Takuya, Tommy and JP all pointed at her. Zoë won a trip to Alabama USA for 7. Guess who she took? Right now they were in Alabama, but they had to get to the Bed & Breakfast.
“How long do you think until we get there?” Tommy whined
“Um… I dunno, but we got separate bedrooms at the inn we’re staying at! So it'll be worth – WE”RE HERE! J “Zoë commented as she pointed to a really big house. The house had seven stories and a humongous yard. Every jumped out of the cab.
“WOW!” Koichi commented “How long are we staying here again?”
“About 3 weeks” Zoë said grabbing her suitcase.
“GEORGE THEY’RE HERE!” A voice shrieked. A 50 year old woman and her husband ran out of the house. A girl about Koichi’s age walked out behind them.
“HELLO! And welcome to the Johnson Inn!” the old lady greeted “We’re Mrs. And Mr. Johnson and this-“she pulled to her the girl in front of her “is my granddaughter, Elizabeth!” Elizabeth and brown shoulder length hair pulled into a ponytail with purple eyes and tan skin. She was wearing a red Tee shirt and white shorts and flip flops. She smiled at the group.
“Hear let us take that!!” Mr. and Mrs. Johnson insisted and brought the luggage in the mansion.
“Zoë, was it possible for you to choose a HOTEL and not an Inn?” Takuya whispered to Zoë.
“Later in your stay they’ll get used to you” Elizabeth told them hearing Takuya “and gets caught up in other visitors. I should know I live here. Who are you?”
Takuya did the intro and said “Is it ALWAYS this hot around here?” He said fanning him self. Zoë stepped on his foot. Hard.
“You’ll get used to it trust me! J But you were lucky you came here now in May, in July it gets REALLY hot and humid. Let me give you a tour of the house” she said smiling
After the tour everyone chose there rooms. On separate floors.
Koichi got his room next to Kouji. Koichi then explored a little to memorize how to get around. He noticed those there 50 rooms and they were the only group. Walking down one of the halls he saw a framed article that caught his full attention:
Johnson Inn Declared State
Landmark
The
Johnson Inn is known as the largest mansion in Southern Alabama. It is also the
oldest dating back to when Alabama first became a state.
The
Owners tell the whole history.
“This
house is as old as Alabama. The Johnson Family has had it in heir ever since.
And we know we’re going to have a wonderful future owner.”
They’re talking about their granddaughter, Elizabeth.
“I’m really glad I can own it soon after I finish college. I’ve
always wanted to own a Bed & Breakfast since I first came to live here.”
The
heir was originally Elizabeth’s Mother, but when Elizabeth’s parents died 12
years ago, Elizabeth went to her grandparents and became the heir almost
instantly.
The
Johnson Inn held 150 guests last year from 92 countries.

The

owner?
He
wished he had that type of honor. He inhered $50.00 dollars when his grandmother
died but that was nothing compared to a huge house. Koichi’s thoughts were
interrupted by a beagle puppy barking at him.
“Snoopy no!” Elizabeth scolded the dog running in the room.
She scooped him up and looked at Koichi “Hey how are ya?” She asked
smiling . Koichi smiled back.
“I’m good. Hey you get to own this place soon don’t you?” he said
stuffing his hands in his pockets. Elizabeth
nodded “Yeah I’m really excited about. There’s another article about the
president coming here somewhere in this house. I
think it’s in the 5th parlor… Anyway I have to go and help
my grandmother with dinner. See ya! J” She said smiling and walked off.
