PATAMON'S WORLD / DIGIMON INTENSITY PROJECT NEWSLETTER
Issue #2 - December 13, 2003
Sorry this newsletter is out so late, I've been extremely busy, even though
I'm
now on holidays. Hopefully this is out to you in time for Christmas!
In this newsletter:
1. Patamon's World News
2. Digimon Intensity Project News
3. SPECIAL REPORT: The Complete Digi-Christmas List!
4. Digimon TV News
5. Next Time in the PW Newsletter...
6. Submission Details
1. PATAMON'S WORLD NEWS
The PW Survey is now closed and results are being tabulated. They should be released
in the next couple of days. (Next time, remind me to use a database instead of
going through about 70 surveys manually... o_O)
After a brief downtime, the Patamon's World Forums have returned as the RyuX
Network Forums (RXN Forums for short). They still have the same URL: http://s2.invisionfree.com/patamon
Version: Salamander is here! I know it's a little "red", but think about it,
what *is* a salamander?
The Digidex is now getting regular updates. I'm hoping to have it finished in
the next few months.
2. DIGIMON INTENSITY PROJECT NEWS
Digimon design has now started. We are looking for researchers to find descriptions
and/or pictures of certain, slightly obscure characters from ancient mythology.
On application, you will be informed of the personages required. Apply by emailing
dip@patamon.tk
3. SPECIAL REPORT
THE COMPLETE DIGI-CHRISTMAS LIST!
by Jedi_Amara
Christmas is rolling around again, and there's a host of Digi-things on the market!
We've picked out a few of the best things to put on your list, to fit all pockets!
ANIME
You can get videos of Digimon Adventure (Season 1) - watch Digimon at any time,
in great quality and without any ads! It's easier than taping, too.
Digimon: The Movie is available on VHS and DVD! I'd suggest you get it on DVD
if you have a DVD player, as the quality is at least twice as good.
GAMES
Digimon Battle Spirit and Digimon Battle Spirit 2 (in the US) are available for
the Gameboy Advance console. Battle with and against all your favourite Digimon!
If you have a PlayStation or PS2, you can play a whole heap of Digimon games!
Choose from the RPG games Digimon World 1, 2 or 3, the TCG game Digimon Card
Battle, racing game Digimon Grand Prix or even the action game Digimon Rumble
Arena!
DIGITAL DEVICES
You can get a range of different Digivice-type handheld games! They look just
like the ones you'll see in the TV show, with inbuilt games. The D3 is like a
Digimon tamagotchi, the D-Terminal has a couple of Digimon games and the ancient
Digimon language, the D-Power has a slot where you can slash a card to "Digi-Modify!" and
you can get special cards to unlock new characters in the D-Tector!
DIGIMON TRADING CARD GAME
This isn't as popular as it once was, but you should be able to find the cards
in big department stores or in specialist card / Anime stores. You can get starter
decks and booster packs to add to your collection.
BITS AND PIECES
You'll be able to find other Digimon things as well, like backpacks, wallets,
keyrings, stickers and other stocking fillers.
4. DIGIMON TV NEWS
AUSTRALIA: Digimon Frontier is airing on FOX Kids.
USA: Digimon Frontier and Digimon Adventure are currently airing on the ABC Family
Channel. Check the PW TV Guide for details.
UK: Digimon Frontier should arrive sometime this month.
5. NEXT TIME...
Next time, we'll have all the normal news and updates from Patamon's World, as
well as a special report TBA!
6. SUBMISSION DETAILS
If you'd like to submit something to the Patamon's World Newsletter, please email
it to amara@patamon.tk or patamon@mailworks.org. We're looking for articles,
