Bokomon:
No one ever promised our heroes the MOON and the stars, but that's all that was
LEFT! EVERYONE was wondering what was NEXT when we got a HAPPY surprise--baby
digimon! We frolicked with the cuties, but those nasty Knights crashed the party
and SCARED off the BABIES! MagnaGarurumon and EmperorGreymon had the Knights on
the ropes. When LUCEMON showed up, he scanned the Knights' data and evolved into
his CHAOS mode. Then he SLAMMED our heroes back into their human forms. And if
THAT wasn't enough, the FORCE of the fighting shook the moon APART! Who can STOP
this FIEND?!
[Theme
song plays, episode opens with the explosion of the yellow moon, blasting rock
out in all directions. Large chunks rained upon the blue and pink moons with
such great force that they, too, exploded. Alarmed cries from Meteormon and two
Burgermon were heard as their moon was obliterated.]
Lucemon
Chaos Mode: [Calmly floating amidst the chaos] Hm! [returns to the Dark Area.]
[Many
digieggs appear from the all the destroyed digimon, zooming about in space
because there is nowhere for them to go. Shows a chunk of the yellow moon, part
is lifted up and Neemon appears.]
Neemon:
Whoa! Where'd THAT come from?!
JP:
[gets up with a struggle] Uh...
Kouichi:
Is...everybody okay?
JP
(groans): Uh huh...
Tommy:
[moans]
Zoe:
I GUESS so...
Neemon:
I'M still standing!
Bokomon:
YES, you ARE...on my HEAD! [pops up out of the "ground" below Neemon,
sending him toppling.]
Neemon:
Wahhh--oo! [lands with a thud]
[Shows
what's left of the moons, looking like an enormous, multi-colored asteroid
field. Digieggs weave their way through in total confusion]
Tommy:
He blasted the moon to BITS!
Zoe:
Where's TAKUYA?
Kouichi:
And KOJI?
Neemon:
Maybe the flying EGGS have seen them! Hellooo? Eggiiiiie?
Bokomon:
How very tragic! Lucemon must have scanned the data of EVERY DIGIMON on the
MOON!
JP:
Well, I don't see an egg big enough for Takky, or Koji...
Tommy:
[points] Look! What's that!
[Shows
an almost cubic forcefield headed their way with Takuya and Koji inside, formed
and moved by...]
Patamon:
Here we cooooome! [he, Salamon, and Lopmon giggle]
Zoe:
Takuya!
Kouichi:
Koji!
Takuya:
Man, am I glad to see YOU guys!
JP:
Hey, not NEARLY as glad as we are to see YOU! [laughs]
Takuya:
I gotta tell ya, it was a little touch-and-go there for awhile, but then Patamon
and his buddies helped us out!
Tommy:
THEY stopped LUCEMON? They're awfully powerful for such little guys.
Zoe:
Kinda like YOU, Tommy.
JP:
Hey, well don't forget who these guys used to be!
Takuya:
Well, you can bet--LUCEMON hasn't! He'll be ready for them next time. And US.
[Shows
Lucemon flying in the Dark Area, where a strange, massive purple substance is in
motion at its core. He stops over it.]
Lucemon
CM: Out of chaos, I bring ORDER...
[some
of it loosely twirls up around him in an almost graceful fashion]
Lucemon
CM: BEAUTIFUL order...MY order!
[Back
on the chunk of moon...]
Tommy:
I don't like it out here...
JP:
Me either. What do we do NOW?
ZOE:
What CAN we do, Lucemon is so powerful!
Takuya:
There HAS to be a way to defeat him! We just have to come up with a plan.
JP
(tired): That's what you ALWAYS say...
[Kouichi
approached Koji, who is sitting off by himself]
Kouichi:
Um...Koji?
[Koji
looks up, Kouichi sits down slowly]
Kouichi:
I wanted-- I -- I just-- well, it's about our mom.
Koji:
I made a promise to only call my step-mom "mom."
Kouichi:
Huh?
Koji:
[smiles] But I WOULD really appreciate it if you'd tell me about our mother,
Kouichi. [Kouichi smiles as well] Okay?
Kouichi:
My mom's terrific. She works so HARD, y'know? It wasn't easy. There was just the
two of us; we had no one. She raised me by herself. Everything my mother did,
she did for ME.
Koji:
She must be incredibly worried about you right now. Is THAT that's been
bothering you lately?
[Kouichi
sadly looks down]
Koji:
You can TELL me...
[Shows
the others]
Tommy:
Hey Bokomon, you said the Legendary Warriors sealed up Lucemon. Do you know HOW?
Bokomon:
The legend only says that they joined forces. Then it says they sealed him up.
I'm afraid it's not very enlightening, is it?
Zoe:
Not at ALL. I don't get it! WE have the power of the Ten Legendary Warriors, so
WE should be able to do it, TOO.
Patamon:
It's light and shadow!
Lopmon:
That's it...!
Salamon:
The light and the darkness must become one for it to WORK.
JP:
If it's about the light and darkness...then Koji and Kouichi are involved.
Takuya:
It does kind of figure that those two hold the key.
[Briefly
shows the two sitting a short distance away, quietly facing away from the
others. Distant thunder sounds]
Tommy:
O...kay, but...how?
Patamon:
Well, you see, the trouble is...
Patamon,
Salamon, and Lopmon: We don't really know!
Zoe:
Don't you WONDER what those two are TALKING about over there? They look so
serious!
Bokomon
(sadly): I don't have to wonder. I'm sure I know what they're talking about.
Tommy:
Really? What!
Bokomon:
About what Crusadermon told Kouichi--what ELSE could they be talking about...?
Neemon:
Hey! You told 'em! You promised Kouichi you wouldn't say anything and you just
TOLD 'em!
Bokomon:
I did NOT! I didn't tell them ANYTHING!
Takuya:
Not yet. But you ARE gonna tell us NOW, AREN'T you, Bokomon?
Bokomon
(uncomfortable): Huh...uhh? [blinks as Patamon, Lopmon, and Salamon fly past in
the background, playfully transporting a rock] Uhhh...
Takuya
(angrily): Tell us!!
[The
four Digidestined glare at him expectantly]
Bokomon:
Uhh...uhh...[the three fly past in the background again, this time in the
opposite direction] Uh! [closes eyes] Oh beans! I guess I have to tell you now.
Kouichi noticed that whenever the rest of you were hurt, your fractal code
became visible.
[Starts
flashback of Baromon shielding them all from the Royal Knight's attack, and what
followed, as Bokomon continues speaking]
Bokomon:
It bothered him that no matter what happened, HIS fractal code never appeared!
At first he was just curious. But now he's WORRIED and VERY confused. Poor
thing!
Takuya:
You mean his DATA?
Neemon:
But Kouichi was never really hurt!
Zoe:
Well...maybe he's just been lucky. It's nothing to WORRY about...!
Bokomon:
I'm afraid it IS, Zoe! Crusadermon told him it's because he doesn't have a
PHYSICAL PRESENCE in this WORLD!
JP:
What's THAT supposed to mean?
Tommy:
Do you think that MAYBE it has SOMETHING to do with the way he came to the
DIGITAL world? I mean, the REST of us came on the TRAILmon, but when WE asked
him, he didn't even remember GETTING here. That's kind of WEIRD, isn't it?
[Shows the scene where Kouichi lay unconscious at the bottom of a stairway at
the train station, then all four thinking]
Zoe:
Something's WRONG...
Takuya:
And he's been freaked out all this TIME? I wonder if there's something we can
DO. I feel BAD for him.
[Brief
sound of thunder, shows the twins sitting there by themselves, then switches
back to Lucemon. The purple substance continues to form lazy spirals around
him.]
Lucemon
CM: Now YOU shall become my ROAD...to the new world...! [hold out his arm
commandingly, and the substance obeyingly stretches out in that direction,
breaking through the Dark Area.]
[Back
at the piece of the moon...]
Koji:
You know...I've been thinking a LOT...about the two of us meeting here and
all...it's kinda STRANGE when you really think about it. I mean REALLY...what
are the CHANCES of that? I guess it must be DESTINY. We ARE light and darkness,
after all. We're bound TOGETHER. That's how I KNOW there's something BOTHERING
you!
Kouichi:
No, it's nothing. REALLY.
Koji:
Kouichi, I KNOW. I'm not guessing--I KNOW! When you're hurting, I feel it TOO!
When you suffer, I suffer along with you, don't you know that?
Kouichi:
Koji--? [interrupted by a bizzare, loud noise]
Kouichi
and Koji: Huh?
[A
jet of light bursts out of the Dark Area]
Zoe:
What IS that!
Tommy:
[points at the now obviously visible Dark Area] Wow, guys, LOOK at that thing!
JP:
I'm betting it's not good news...!
Bokomon:
It's the Dark Area!
JP:
I was right! That CAN'T be good news!
Takuya:
Guys, I'm betting that's where LUCEMON is hiding out...
Tommy:
How do we GET there?
Takuya:
Patamon! Will you and your buddies take us there? We need to get to the Dark
Area A-S-A-P!
Patamon,
Lopmon, and Salamon: Sure...!
[Switches
back to Koji and Kouichi]
Kouichi:
Koji, listen! I want you to promise me something. When you go back to the real
world, I want you to visit my mom. Will you do that?
Koji:
[taken aback by his brother's determination and serious tone] Huh--? Uh...
[blinks]
Kouichi:
PROMISE me.
Koji:
I promise, Kouichi, of COURSE I'll go visit your mom. I really don't see how I
COULD keep from meeting her.
Kouichi:
[smiles] Thank you, Koji. Let's go! [runs]
Koji
(thinks): [still taken aback and blinking, mouth open] That's odd...did he think
I was going to AVOID her or something?
[Shows
what looks like three data streams joining together to form a triangular prism
shape, rapidly stretching outward from the Dark Area.]
[The
Digidestined are now on a smaller, pink piece of moon, headed toward the Dark
Area, pushed by the powers of Patamon, Lopmon, and Salamon.]
Tommy:
Are you guys OKAY--?
[The
three look sleepy and slightly dejected]
Patamon:
We're just tired. This is HARD work.
Zoe
(angrily): JP! Why aren't you helping?
JP:
[shrugs with arms out defensively] Gee wiz, Z, what the heck am I supposed to
do?!
Tommy:
Hm...[alarmed] Uh!!
[A
huge mass of fire easily twice as large as what they are riding on swoops right
over them as they duck and yell.]
JP:
That was a little too close!
Takuya:
Yeah, no kidding, what WAS that?!
Bokomon:
It must have been the MAGMA that was once at the CORE of the Digital World. I
suspect we will see a lot more of it. We HAVE to be careful...
Tommy:
Do you guys smell something BURNING?
[Shows
Neemon just standing there, completely oblivious to the fact that his pants are
now smoking]
Neemon:
Hmm? [eyes bug out] Mwaaa! Oo! Pants on fire, pants on fire!! [Everyone else
begins pounding on him, frantically trying to put out the fire] Pants on fire!
Oh! Aah!
[Shows
the Dark Area, as the light grows outwards]
Tommy:
Look! There it goes AGAIN!
JP:
Yeah, but it's even LONGER this time...!
[It
continues to grow, then suddenly stops and a white area of light appears at it's
end]
Takuya:
I got a bad feeling about this...! What's Lucemon up to NOW?
[Area
of fog expands and shifts about like fog]
Zoe:
Guys, help me out a little...[points] Is that REAL?
[An
image of skyscrapers appears in its midst]
Takuya:
Huh?! No WAY!
[Image
grows...]
Takuya:
It can't be--but it is! It's Shibuya! It's our home!
[Shoes
the now stronger image again]
Takuya:
Oh no guys! What's he DONE?!
[Shows,
back on Earth in Shibuya, people walking about in the streets as distant thunder
rumbles. A solitary cloud swells into formation at one point in the sky. One
lady checks her cell phone at the sound of static and disturbance, and an image
of Lucemon CM wavers on the small screen...on a big screen attached to the side
of a building, the same thing occurs...zooms back out to where the Digidestined
are viewing their home. The image briefly changes to a wide view of a city, and
then back to the original.]
Zoe:
That's Shinjuku!
Takuya:
[gasps] No! He can't!
Patamon:
Shibuya? Shinjuku?
Salamon:
Shinjuku?
Lopmon:
Shinjuku?
Patamon:
Those names sound funny.
Salamon:
What are those?
Koji:
That's the world we all came from.
Kouichi:
It looks like Lucemon is building a road to the real world!
Bokomon
(cross): Oh that's ridiculous! Everyone knows it's IMPOSSIBLE for Digimon to go
to the REAL world!
Tommy:
You didn't tell Lucemon...!
JP:
Bokomon, isn't there anything in your book about this?
Bokomon:
[begins paging through his book] Something's very WRONG here!! From cover to
cover, there's nothing but blank pages! Everything has just DISAPPEARED!!
[Another
mass of fire zooms overhead without warning as all scream and dive for the
ground. This time, Bokomon is smoking as he lays on the ground; the binding of
his book was slightly singed.]
Neemon:
Uh!
[Book
now has writing in it]
Bokomon:
That's new...
Tommy:
Look! It's not blank anymore!
JP:
How did THAT happen?
Bokomon:
I have no idea! But it looks like SOMETHING is answering us...
Zoe
(anxiously): What's it say?
Bokomon:
It says...that if digimon are allowed into the human world...they will create
CHAOS...and eventually--[breathes heavily in panic]
Takuya
(impatiently): And eventually WHAT?! Tell us!
Bokomon:
Eventually they will destroy it, utterly!
Digidestined:
DESTROY it?!
[Shows
image of a towering Lucemon bending over an inferno of fire, wearing an insane,
unearthly grin and emitting a sinister laugh]
Takuya:
We HAVE to stop him!
Zoe
(desperately): But HOW?!
Kouichi
(determined): I KNOW we'll find a way. We HAVE to. I don't think we'd all still
BE here if there wasn't something we could DO about it!
[Takuya
and Koji regard the Dark Area with determination]
Takuya
and Koji: Hm!
Takuya:
If we don't stop him NOW, Lucemon is going to make OUR world look JUST like
THAT!
Bokomon:
[looking in his book] We ALREADY know that LONG ago, the ten Legendary Warriors
found a way to defeat Lucemon and SEAL him away. There MUST be a way for you six
to do it again. I just KNOW there is!
Takuya:
Then we'll find it!
[Evolutions
begin...]
JP,
Kouichi, Zoe, and Tommy: Execute! Spirit Evolution!
Beetlemon:
Raaa-ah! Beetlemon!
Kazemon:
Haaa-mm! Kazemon!
Kumemon:
Ahh-uh! Haha! Kumemon!
Lowemon:
Huh! Uhh! Lowemon!
Koji
and Takuya: Execute! Fusion evolution!
Koji:
Rrrrahhh-ahh! Rah!
Beowulfmon:
Rrrrh! Huh! Uh! Beowulfmon!
Takuya:
Rrrrrrrrahhh!
Aldamon:
Rah! Rrraa! Hahhr! Aldamon!
[Shows
inside of Dark Area. A hexagon-shaped opening leads to the path to the real
world, ready and waiting.]
Lucemon
CM: This will be even more SATISFYING that I EXPECTED. Look at the little
INSECTS, PRETENDING like they MATTER...Soon they will learn the FOLLY of their
FALSE beliefs...they will taste the SWEETNESS of UTTER oblivion. [His gleeful,
evil laugh interrupted by...]
Aldamon:
Lucemon!
Lucemon
CM (startled): Hmm?
Aldamon:
Stop this RIGHT now!!
[All
approach him as Bokomon, Neemon, Patamon, Salamon, and Lopmon enter into the
Dark Area.]
Lucemon
CM: PLEASE...how very tedious. What are you doing still ALIVE? Ah, well! It
might be nice to have an AUDIENCE for my next performance...no? [A sharp, soft
laugh] You aren't actually going to try and STOP me, are you? How amusing.
Aldamon
(angrily): Do you see us LAUGHING?
Beowulfmon:
We WILL stop you.
Lucemon
CM: Oh very WELL, if you INSIST. My entrance into you WORLD will be even more
IMPRESSIVE if I use EACH of you as my STEPPING stones.
Kumemon:
Blizzard Blaster!
Kazemon:
Hurricaaane Wave!
[Lucemon
is not only unphased, but he goes straight through their attacks and ends up
right in front of them. Both cry out in surprise, then yell as he smacks them
both aside.]
Aldamon
(gasps): Ah!
Beetlemon:
Why you-!! Thunder Fist!! Ahhhr!
Aldamon:
Atomic Inferno! Mwaah!
Lucemon
CM: [smiling, beats wings once, sending attacks right back at them.]
Aldamon:
Waah!
Beetlemon:
Ehh!
[Lowemon
growls at Lucemon, who merely looks at him cooly. Beowulfmon slides into place
behind Lucemon.]
Lowemon:
Shadow Meteor!
[Lucemon
shifts to the side, almost completely misses being hit by the attack. A few
wisps of it go between his dark wings (his left side).]
Beowulfmon:
Cleansing Light! Uh!
[Lucemon,
laughing, extends palm of the arm on the same side of his body as his angel-like
wings (right side), and blocks the attack so that it is unable to exit
Beowulfmon's arm. Beowulfmon is propelled backwards in an arch, yelling in pain.
Lucemon pursues him as he falls, the same arm extended, preparing for an
attack.]
Lowemon:
Koji!!
Lucemon
CM: [looks back at the now pursuing Lowemon with a frown of disgust, extends his
left arm towards him.]
Lowemon:
Rahh!
[Lucemon
shoots off a dark attack in a continous streak at Lowemon, who blocks it with
his shield with difficulty. Lucemon, slightly interested, moves his other arm to
shoot a similar light attack at him at the same time.]
Lucemon
CM: Hmm!
[Lowemon
is unable to fight off both of the attacks and gets slammed into the shell of
the Dark Area with a sickening sound of broken glass, and debris falls from the
cloud of smoke...]
Beowulfmon:
[damaged arm completely engulfed in fire] Uhh! NO!!
[All
gasp in horror and shock]
Neemon:
[eyes bugged out] I don't think we're winning, are we winning?!
Bokomon:
For once in your life, you're absolutely correct, we are DEFINITELY not winning,
ohhh...
Lucemon
CM: [flies above them] Although your PATHETIC struggles AMUSE me, you will NEVER
defeat me. Shall I show you the reason WHY? [extends arms horizontally. At his
right hand, a sphere of light forms] Behold! The power of light! [At his left, a
ball of darkness] AND the power of darkness.
[He
throws the ball of light down, it hits the bottom where they stand, then expands
to cover them all as they yell. The light shrinks and forms a dome, containing
them all. Lucemon then releases the ball of darkness, which overlaps the light.
The dome then takes on an odd appearance similar to a double-layered yellow and
black checkerboard. Each check bears a symbol--an X, O, triangle, or square--and
each of the two layers rotates in the opposite direction of the other, and the
whole thing emits an eerie red glow at parts. Bokomon and the others fearfully
gasp. Then Lowemon, who is still alive, is shown]
Lowemon:
Huh?! [Sees the small dome far below him] What has he DONE?!
[The
shadows of the other digidestined, who are still in their digimon forms, can be
seen, as they all cry out in agony.]
Lucemon
CM: Aww, you want off my little RIDE?
[The
dome shatters, and the Digidestined are all back to their human selves, in great
pain and unable to move. They merely float in the air. Takuya and Koji groan
loudly.]
Lucemon
CM: Light and darkness appear to be OPPOSITES...never together in the same PLACE
at the same TIME...IMAGINE what it would take to bring them TOGETHER! But you
don't HAVE to imagine. Allow ME the pleasure of SHOWING you! SHALL I?! It's just
too BAD...You won't SURVIVE the EXPERIENCE...
[Shows
Lowemon weakly looking on from far above, completely forgotten by Lucemon]
Lucemon
CM: It is now TIME for you to RETURN to NOTHINGNESS! So you can be REBORN into
MY world!
Lowemon
(to himself): Light! And Darkness, together!
Lucemon
CM (harshly): I hope you enjoy OBLIVION, because it's the LAST thing you will
EVER experience! [Light sphere forms at his right hand]
Bokomon:
Everyone PLEASE, you MUST get up, if that THING catches you, it's all OVER!
[Black
sphere forms at Lucemon's left hand...]
Neemon
(frantically): [Arms up in the air] Run AWAAAAY!!
Lucemon
CM: I call light! [chucks it at the nearly unconscious Digidestined as Bokomon
and the other digimon gasp in alarm. It envelopes the Digidestined as they yell.
He throws down the dark sphere] And darkness!
Lowemon:
[darts ahead of it] NO!!
Lucemon
CM: [eyebrows contract, glares furiously at this unexpected interruption] Hm?

Digidestined: [look up at approaching Lowemon in surprise] Huh??
Takuya:
Kouichi!!
[Lowemon
stops right before the layer of light, spins around and blocks the small dark
sphere with his hands and tries to hold it back with loud grunting]
Koji:
Kouichi!!
Lucemon
CM: You FOOL! Not even the Warrior of DARKNESS can stand against the power of
darkness that I command!!
Lowemon:
[keeps trying with weaker grunting, but then gives way and is pinned,
spread-eagled, between the two layers as the dark sphere expands] Raa!
[The
five other Digidestined gasp, and the light lifts off of them, and moves to
envelope only Lowemon. Both layers have formed a perfect sphere around him, and
the symbols appear as the others look up from below in shock.]
Lowemon:
I KNOW now why I CAME to the Digital World. I wasn't Cherubimon's PAWN. I was
his greatest GIFT! Lucemon! You are not the ONLY one who can bring light and
darkness together!! [is rewarded with the same angry look Lucemon had worn
moments before] I'm glad I met all of you. THANK you for being my friends. I
wish I could see you back in the real world--but I don't think I'll be able to.
[The
other Digidestined gasp]
Tommy:
What does he MEAN?!
Lowemon:
Protect our world. That's all I ask!
Koji
(weakly): Kouichi!!
Lowemon:
I...I think--
[Shows
flashback of Kouichi lying unconscious at the base of the flight of stairs at the
train station back at the real world]
Lowemon
(finishes): I'm ready.
Koji:
No, please!
[Sphere
shatters, shows a glowing form of Kouichi, a spirit at each side]
Takuya:
Kouichi!
[Bokomon,
Neemon, Patamon, Salamon, and Lopmon gasp]
Kouichi:
[floats down towards Koji with the two spirits] It's up to you now, Koji. Take
the spirits of Darkness.
Koji:
[reaches for them with both hands] Uh...huh! [absorbs them into his body,
crossing his arms over his chest]
Kouichi:
My brother...I can't tell you what it means to me to have met you...I have no
regrets--no regrets! [his appearance wavers and then turns into data, which
instantly begins to unravel]
Koji
(wails): NO!!
[Lucemon
completes absorbing Kouichi's data]
Koji:
Kouichi!! [begins yelling and darkness "shines" out from his heart.]
Lucemon
CM: It looks like you can't CONTROL it little boy--I'm not SURPRISED. How could
a MERE human have the strength to control both LIGHT and darkness...
Takuya
(unnerved): WHAT is HAPPENING?
Koji:
[groans] Kouichi!
Lucemon
CM: [some of Kouichi's data shows out of his palm] What a SHAME your little
PLAYmate had to go AWAY, but I'M still here...
Takuya:
[enraged] How--COULD you?! [flames form out of thin air all around him] Lucemon,
you GO TOO FAR!! [throws flame in Lucemon's direction as it expands, but it
branches out then doubles back to encircle him and Koji in a perfect sphere of
fire. Koji continues his agonizing yells, then suddenly lets go as beams of
light and darkness shoot out of him from within, activating the d-tectors of the
others...]
JP:
Uh--whaa!
Zoe:
Uh? Ahh!
Tommy:
Uhh? Whoa!
[A
new evolution begins after beams from JP's, Zoe's, and Tommy's d-tectors enter
into the sphere of flame]
Koji
and Takuya: Ancient Spirits Unite!!
[A
new digimon forms...]
Susanoomon:
Susanoomon!!
[Bright
reddish light fills the Dark Area, Lucemon looks in shock, squinting slightly
from the intense glare. Bokomon, Neemon, Lopmon, Salamon, and Patamon gasp.]
Tommy
(shocked): Amazing, WOW!
Zoe:
The ancient spirits answered our call...
JP:
LOOK at them! They're one DIGIMON...!
Patamon
(in breathless, happy wonder): He's BEAUTIFUL!
Bokomon:
My friends, we have just witnessed the birth of a NEW WARRIOR!
[Susanoomon,
glaring, goes into fighting stance as he and Lucemon look at each other, Lucemon
wearing a haughty smile. "to be continued..." appears at the bottom of
the screen]
