Digimon Tamers (Season 3)

The Devas are 12 Digimon who are led by the Digital God Zhuqiaomon. Their mission is to capture the Catalyst, Calumon, and keep him in a place where his powers of Digivolution can have an effect on all Digimon. As Henry's sensei points out (see the Legend), this is good or evil depending on viewpoint, so the Devas are not formally classed as enemies.

The Devas are based on two things of ancient mythology: the 12 animals of the Chinese Zodiac (mentioned in the episodes) and the 12 Warriors of the Sanskrit and Buddhist writings. Here is a table of which animal and warrior corresponds to each Deva:
