Digimon Tamers (Season 3)
Tamers has a completely different setting to Adventure and Digi02. Kids in Japan have grown up with the Digimon TV show and card game. Three kids, Takato Matsuki, Rika Nonaka and Henry Wong, get D-Power Digivices. When Takato's drawing of a made-up Digimon, Guilmon, is slashed through the D-Power, Guilmon becomes real. Rika and Renamon just want to fight, and they challenge Takato and Guilmon. Henry and Terriermon are peacemakers who try to break up the battles between Renamon and Guilmon.
There's a group of people called Hypnos who are trying to monitor Digimon as they emerge into the real world. They're building a juggernaut to try and destroy Digimon. Meanwhile, the Monster Makers (including Janyu Wong, Henry's father), who created Digimon in college, are also monitoring the progress of Digimon.
Digimon called Devas start appearing, based on the Chinese Zodiac, and the kids have to fight them off. Calumon, the Digivolution catalyst, is stolen by one of the Devas into the Digital World, and the kids, together with friends Kazu Shiota, Kenta Kitagawa and Jeri Kato, follow. So does impish Impmon, who's been trying to get rid of the kids.
In the Digital World, the other kids get D-Powers and Digimon partners. Susie Wong, Henry's little sister, also gets pulled into the Digital World and receives her own Digimon. Jeri's partner, Leomon, is destroyed by Impmon's digivolution, Beelzemon.
The kids meet the Digimon Sovereigns, who they manage to convince of their good will. Now there's a new threat - the D-Reaper and his "Chaos Bubbles". Jeri gets possessed by the D-Reaper and the kids have a new enemy to fight when the D-Reaper moves into the real world. Luckily, the kids have learnt to Biomerge Digivolve, and Alice McCoy, the daughter of one of the Monster Makers, turns up with Dobermon to let the kids Biomerge in the real world. With some help from "Grani", a flying vehicle that can think, the kids manage to defeat the D-Reaper once and for all. The Digimon say a goodbye to their partners and return to the Digital World.
