Genius Tohma Returns! Beat Meramon
Season 5, Episode 3
A boy named Touma and his partner Gaomon have come to the Japan branch of DATS. Touma, a 13-year-old genius who has graduated university, looks down on Masaru and declares him to be useless to DATS. - Translated by Hiku

(Here we go again... all though this episode gave me quite the chock. Uhm, you'll see...)
The episode begins with a bright sun on a Sunday, and the whole family Daimon is sitting eating (looking at the sun it is probably lunch, but with Masaru's morning habits, breakfast). Agumon and Masaru are eating big bowls of rice, while Chika sweatdrops and Masaru's mother admires Agumon for getting her son up earlier then the afternoon. (Notice when I say breakfast from that.)
Eating very fast Masaru and Agumon finish their bowls at the same time and asks (demands) for more. Sayuri gives the first finished bowl of rice to Agumon, with her son complaining wanting her to serve him first. Yet Sayuri tells him off and says that Agumon is still a child. Masaru comments, “What kind of child is that big?”
As he hasn't received his rice yet...he turns to the last piece of fried egg (which is like omelette with some sugar in it). But as he is about to take it Agumon uses his chopsticks to take it as well. Masaru does his best to get it, and Agumon states that he will not hand over the last piece of egg, not even to his aniki. Seemingly the Digimon wins and eats it. Masaru starts fighting demanding Agumon to spit it out. (YUCK). Agumon does not obey. They fight over it as Sayuri prepares Masaru's extra bowl of rice.
The scene change and we see a pair of naked feet... well, someone is taking a shower, surprising. (I also have a feeling that parts of this scene may be cut if it reaches the US.)
Touma, a blond boy is taking a shower. Waiting outside stands a servant telling him that the weather is 17 degrees, slightly warmer then Austria. Touma agrees and walks out, receiving a bath robe. Apparently as we see Touma is very wealthy, he lives in a huge house with large windows. He walks over to one of these and looks out. The sun is shining outside.
Back at Masaru's Chika looks quite stunned as Agumon is trying to get into a bicycle basket, yet due to his size he fails utterly and the bicycle falls. His reason is that Masaru don't want to take him with him, well a Digimon on the street looks suspicious.
At Touma's a limousine with the young Master is leaving the house. The Staff bids him farewell.
While Masaru runs, with Agumon on his back. Not fully happy to five him a piggyback ride. Agumon sure is and cheers him on. Masaru asks why he is the one who is giving away a ride, and as a deja vu from earlier seasons Agumon plays the role of a stuffed toy. Not much of a choice then. Something beeps and Masaru takes out a headphone, yet for some odd reason (or because he don't know how to fasten it to his ear) he doesn't put it on. (at least I found that odd.) Masaru is trying to remind himself how you used it, and presses buttons on it. After a while he figures it out.
It's Yoshino's voice we hear and she says that there are signs of Digimon in area C-7. She asks him to handle it. “No problems”
At area C-7, we see three guys hanging on the street drinking and looking bored. Indeed they are bored complaining that nothing happens. Suddenly one asks “how he is doing that?” The guy being asked wonders what and we see some tied up paper bags burning. It is a PetitMeramon who is putting everything to fire.
The three guys wonders what it was, and a second later Agumon and Masaru appear running after it, ready to fight. “Fight” the PetitMeramon replies and shots fire at it. The fire almost hit Masaru while Agumon faces forward. He shoots a baby flame at it, but nothing happens. Agumon asks for the shiny thing, the Digisoul. Masaru is trying to gain some, remember that he can receive the Digisoul b punching the enemy Digimon. But as he tries to punch it, it avoids him easily. It's not solid enough.
The PetitMeramon fires a ball of fire that hits Masaru, who's foot lights up in flames. The PetitMeramon flies away and the two of them follow. The three forgotten guys wonders what it was, monster or lizard. However their curiosity is cured as Touma appear erasing their memories with a small device.
He calls on Gaomon from behind, from the limousine they arrived in.

Back at DATS Masaru looks annoyed of something. Turns out he never caught the PetitMeramon. Yoshino simply states that she did not believe he had it in him to do it from the start. Masaru stares at her as a third person enters the conversation. It's Touma carrying the Digiegg. Yoshino stares at him. Masaru wonders who he is.
The two other workers (whom I don't know the name of so far, I surely hope it will appear soon) run over to the blond boy squealing like fan girls. Agumon spots Gaomon as well, yet as his Master he ignores introduction. Masaru walks over to Touma, telling him to speak when he demands it. Touma walks pass him towards Captain Satsuma.
“ Touma H. Norstein, I arrived today to take my position at DATS.”
Satsuma nods happy to have him back. Touma tells that he has read through the reports that there have been many Digimon appearances lately. Satsuma asks if the frequency isn't as high in the EU. Touma answers no, after all Europe is larger then Japan, ne?
Masaru walks forward clearing his throat. Satsuma tells him to introduce himself, which clearly isn't what Masaru wanted. He wants to know who Touma is. As well as he wants to be recognised for what he has done for DATS, in three days.
(well from here a little scripts version, cause there was a lot about Touma, and this includes the part that made me nearly fall of my chair.)
YOSHINO: Touma was part of the Japanese division until six months ago working to control Digimon and assisting in the implementation of the transfer device. He discovered the operating principle within an hour.
MASARU: But he is just like me...
BLOND WORKER: And he graduated Stockholm Royal University of Science at 13, he's a genius!
(ME: This was the part, for it is the very first time any part of Sweden has been mentioned it became laughable. After all, Stockholm is Sweden's largest city, but not big compared to other cities on the EU map. And compared to where I live, big for our scale.
And I am not sure that our Royal University agrees to have so young educators, but what do I know?)
MASARU: A genius?
DARK WORKER: If you want to know more, he is part of a prominent noble family in Austria. A prince so to speak.
It turns out Gaomon is superior as well, clearly settling things for Masaru. Not to mention, Touma criticize Masaru for not being good enough for DATS and that he should be dismissed at once.
Masaru, now in the heat of a fighting punches Touma, yet he blocks it with his hand. Touma truly tries to put Masaru down, so to clear things up they need to settle this, with a boxing match.
The two of them face each other, from one corner each in the ring. Yoshino stands behind Masaru trying to get him to wear the head gear, yet Masaru won't. He doesn't need it because Touma don't need it.
Lalamon rings the bell and the match commence, with Masaru beginning with a punch. Touma moves to the side and he misses. Touma tells him that he is relying too much on power. With no strategy, no tactics. Masaru continues punching and missing. Touma asks him things as they fight, for example why he joined DATS? Ans lectures him on what DATS importance is.
(I hope you don't behead me and throw me out for saying this jedi, but in some ways Touma is a pretty annoying aristocrat)
Masaru keeps punching and missing. Suddenly Touma sees his chance and punches Masaru with a direct hit to his face, his right cheek. Yoshino counts down to ten, without Masaru getting up. Touma wins, but before he gets of the ring, Masaru is up again and punches Touma back, on his left cheek. The two of them proceed fighting.
Later, back at the headquarters office, Masaru is sitting on the chair, both cheeks red from fighting. It seems Touma must have punched him again. Yoshino stands beside him, tending to his bruised cheeks. He should be happy it was a draw, since Touma has beaten Olympic champions in the past.
Touma appears again, and his cheek is bruised as well. After this there will be a special rivalry between them.
The alarm goes, and it turns out that a new PetitMeramon has appeared. And its number is increasing swiftly. If one PetitMeramon is left then it can multiply. And Masaru remembers that he never destroyed of the one he chased earlier in the day.
Touma asks if he can take care of the job and Satsuma agrees. Masaru however wants to join as well, seeing it is his fault for the PetitMeramon escaping. However, Satsuma says no and Kudamon also says that Masaru should watch Touma and Gaomon fight. Yoshino is set to help Touma and Masaru is left behind.
Later Touma has arrived where all of the PetitMeramon have assembled. The Digimon attack and Touma tells Gaomon to use Plan A. Gaomon jumps forward and spins deflecting the attack. Plan A2 commence and Gaomon's evolution starts. Gaomon evolves into Gaogamon. Gaogamon attacks with Spiral Claw creating a huge whirlwind from his mouth, catching the PetitMeramon. Later the car is loaded with the eggs. It all took them 3 minutes and 47 seconds. One minute less than last time.
More PetitMeramon are found at another area and Yoshino and Touma hurry to get there. At DATS Headquarters Satsuma and the others (excluding Masaru and Agumon) admires Touma. Masaru, seeing he can't do anything runs out, with Agumon following him. Agumon wonders what is going on and tries to keep up to his aniki. Masaru tells him to shut up before falling almost at the entrance. Agumon catches up while Masaru gets up. Agumon tries to put the blame on Touma, yet Masaru says it was his self-confidence that made him angry.
The two of them walk out together, only to find the very same old man as earlier, grilling a fish. Seems he has some problems with keeping the fire burning because the wind is so strong, putting out all sparks. The old man says that if he tries hard enough he can make the fire burn. Masaru looks down at it, thinking...
Right then, Satsuma's voice appear in the headphone. More PetitMeramon have appeared close to where Masaru stands, at a gas tank. It will take them ten minutes to get there... and three for Masaru. The energetic brown-haired guy hurries of to do things right, for a change.
Everyone seems to believe that the odds are against them. Reaching the place infected with 3 PetitMeramon, Masaru tells Agumon to use his Baby Burner (Eng sub Pepper Breath). Everyone, including Agumon, look bewildered wondering what he is thinking about. DATS thinks he is going to blow up the gas tank and Agumon complains that his attacks didn't work last time. Yet he obeys sending his attack at the enemy, hitting it. PetitMeramon grows. Masaru tells him to continue and the Digimon continues growing until the three PetitMeramon evolves into one huge Meramon. Agumon is scared, but Masaru smiles. He signs for Meramon to attack him, repeating what he learnt from the old man.
“ Fire as sparks will be blown out by the wind. But...”
Meramon aims at punch at him. Masaru jumps to meet it.
“ if they ever ignite”
He punches Meramon and the Digisoul comes alive in his hand. Touma and Yoshino arrives and Meramon falls back.
“ they won't be extinguished that easily.”
“ Digisoul Charge!”
“ Agumon shinka ... GeoGreymon.”
GeoGreymon attacks with a big ball of flames, hitting Meramon and deevolving it to 3 PetitMeramon eggs.
At DATS Kudamon is impressed by GeoGreymon's power. All Digimon signs are gone. The last PetitMeramon eggs are loaded into the back of the car.
Later at DATS Satsuma tells them that Masaru and Touma will from this day be a team. Yoshino leans her head to her hand saying “This is the worst”
