Takeru "T.K." Takaishi

About T.K.

T.K. is Matt's little brother.  The second-grader is the youngest of the lot in Season 1 (Tai's sister, Kari, is a little older). T.K.'s Digimon friend is Patamon. He's one of two kids who feature as main characters in 2 seasons, season 1 and season 2. In Season 2, T.K. is in the fifth grade.

T.K. cries a bit, but that's acceptable in such a little kid. (It is NOT ok in Mimi.) However, most of the time he's fairly levelheaded and knows how to handle himself. It's understandable that he gets a little homesick sometimes, but he takes comfort in the fact that his big brother is there with him.

T.K. seems to have a thing for hats. If you look at the pictures of him, in Series 1 he's always wearing this little green hat thing with a blue button on it, and in Series 2 he wears one of those floppy white hat thingys. (I believe it's called a bucket hat.) He had this hat by the time of the second movie (Our War Games / DtM part 2).

What I want to know is, how come in S1 T.K. has a yellow Digivice/Crest but a green D3 in S2.

The Backstory

T.K.'s parents are separated, and Matt says that T.K. is only his half-brother. However, T.K. and Matt both call T.K.'s mother "Mom" and Matt's father "Dad", so I'm not sure how that works out ^_^. In the Japanese version, T.K. and Matt are full brothers. T.K. lives with his mother, while Matt lives with his father, and they don't see each other at home very often. T.K. enjoys playing video games.

T.K., like most of the other Digidestined in season 1, watched the battle between Parrotmon and Greymon in the first movie (Digimon Adventure / DtM part 1) from the balcony of his home on Highton View Terrace.
