Lobomon: Warrior of Light

Season 4, Episode 02

summary written by Shitza

The episode starts where the first one ended, and Takuya realises that they are in trouble. They are on a piece of the Digital World, with no where to go, except for a few train tracks leading back to the main land. Same time, he is confused about what happened. Izumi tells him that he turned into a Digimon. Takuya doesn't fully understand, and Bokomon simply walks by correcting them that it is called evolution.

Takuya is surprised about the evolution, and presses some buttons on his digivice. Nothing happens and he gets more and more frustrated. Suddenly the digivice shines and the digicode (Fractal code) returns to rebuild the destroyed land, which makes a bridge to the main land. Everyone stares at it, and Takuya wonders what happened.

The scene changes for a few seconds and we see Kouji on the trailmon.

Back with the others, the Digimon are happy that the land is rebuilt. The two strange Digimon presents themselves as Bokomon and Neemon. Takuya presents himself why they are running after the Digimon The brunette wonders how the Digicode restores the land. Bokomon explains that this is the Digital World, where everything is made out of data. Bokomon takes out his book, and explains it.

It looks like a Digimon called Cherubimon and some of his fellows destroyed the lands, which made the Digital world as it is. To restore everything they need the digicode. Takuya realises this has to do something with the digivices. Izumi wonders if hers will do the same. Junpei however doesn't seem sure about things and he grabs Tomoki while the others continues.

The scene changes again to show that the trailmon Kouji rides on stops at the Flame Terminal.

We jump back again, to Tomoki and Junpei. Junpei tries to convince Tomoki that they should go home. Tomoki isn't truly sure about that since he is excited that he for the first time met a hero, Takuya. (In the Japanese version at least Tomoki surely is a great fan of heroes.)

Still Junpei manages to convince him to follow him home. The scene changes once more, and shows Kouji at the Flame terminal. The voice in his D-Tector is talking to him, telling him to go search for the spirits. Kouji wonders what a Spirit is, yet the voice doesn't answer. It says that they hope he won't get hurt. Kouji tries to ask who the voice is, why it called him to this world and what it wants from him. It doesn't answer, instead the voice disappears. Instead some sort of compass (dunno what to call it really) appears showing him a direction.

Meanwhile Tomoki and Junpei encounters a Pagumon sitting on one of the buildings. Junpei asks him if it knows how they can return to the Human World, but the Pagumon looks away. Sensing it knows the answer Junpei tries to bribe it to tell with a bar of chocolate. The Pagumon surely loves the chocolate. It says that they should take the Trailmon, Angler, back to the human world. Junpei leaves the rest of the chocolate as a thanks before he and Tomoki hurry back to the train station. The Pagumon eats the rest of the chocolate enjoying it very much. Then it says they will be in even more problem... probably it is thinking on a plan to get more chocolate.

The two guys run back, while Kouji walks from the station trying to find the spirit his D-Tector is guiding him to. He sees the two of them and wonder what they are doing. Figuring out it doesn't concern him he continues his own quest. A group of Pagumon hurries after Junpei and Tomoki.

A moment later Junpei and Tomoki encounters Angler, asking him to take them home. The two of the tries to flirt him into helping them, yet Angler refuses. Junpei offers him a bar of chocolate which the trailmon eats. Like the Pagumon chocolate has a delicious effect on him, and he agrees. Yet he forgets to board both kids, which are left standing on the station. The group of Pagumon has now caught up with the kids, and they demand more chocolate. Junpei refuses and the Digimon get angry, attacking them. The Pagumon chase them around the station.

Izumi and Takuya follow Bokomon and Neemon to the house they live in. Takuya wonders where Tomoki is, and Bokomon says they were separated. The two guys are meanwhile trying to flee from the angry Pagumon. Takuya and Izumi goes looking for them.

A group of Poyomon walks by, and Bokomon asks if they have seen the children. The Poyomon chorus that they saw the kids run away, with the Pagumon chasing them.

In another place, around the same area, Kouji is still looking for the spirit. The compass disappears from his digivice, and he looks around to see an opening at an old building. He walks over and sees stairs leading down. He walks down, wondering if this is where the spirit is hidden.

Tomoki is desperately pushing the button on his digivice, hoping to evolve just like Takuya. The Pagumon has yet not found them. The youngest digidestined thinks that if he evolves like Takuya did, he can stop them. Junpei tell him that he is stupid and that he can't evolve. The Pagumon appear behind him. Junpei and Tomoki tries to escape, yet the ground under then collapses and they fall down into darkness. The Pagumon looks down and jumps down themselves. Before this scene closes, we see Tomoki's digivice on the ground and the two of them landing into a pile of leaves and grass.

Meanwhile Takuya and Izumi are looking for the two of them. Takuya wonders where Tomoki is, and Izumi says she feels sorry for him since he didn't want to come here. Tomoki is (as we find out here) a third grader. Izumi asks him what kind of man he is trying to be. Takuya answers, as we find out here as well, that he is a fifth grader. Izumi says they are the same grade, and thinks its sad since she thought he was younger. (This episode really weird me out) Takuya complains saying he is almost eleven. Izumi asks when he will be eleven, which is in August. Izumi brags about herself being older, as she is born in May. Takuya grinds his teeth at this.

Takuya spots Tomoki's digivice in the grass and picks it up. Izumi recognises it as well, but when she steps forwards she accidentally trips into the whole Junpei and Tomoki fell into earlier. Doing so she grabs Takuya, who falls as well. Izumi realises, once they get up, that she is hugging Takuya and slaps him. Takuya calls her something rude, and the girl corrects him saying he should stop calling her names and says that her name Orimoto Izumi is perfectly cute. Takuya says she is the only one thinking so.

Junpei and Tomoki find out that they are lost. Junpei don't believe him at first, until Tomoki show him a mark (white X) he made on the wall. Tomoki starts crying over being lost. Junpei tries to cheer him up with some chocolate, but once they are about to eat the Pagumon shows up again. They escape throwing three bars of chocolate to the Pagumon, yet they are not satisfied until they have gotten every sweet thing the humans have.

The two of them run into a huge chamber underneath the flame terminal. Kouji looks down at one of the openings to see them being chased by the Pagumon. Izumi and Takuya hears them shouting for help. The lone wolf jumps down, sliding down on a long pipe. Landing he breaks a piece and starts to fight them. Tomoki and Junpei are awed by his fighting abilities, yet they don't know who he is. The Pagumon tries their best, yet Kouji backs them of to the wall. One single lands on the floor. (His voice is different from the rest of them.) It evolves into Raremon, a Digimon using poisonous gas and sludge to fight. (YUCK)

Raremon attacks, almost hitting Tomoki yet Kouji picks him up before doing so. Raremon attacks are like acid burning through the floor, walls and roof. Kouji tries to escape, still holding Tomoki Takuya and Izumi appears with the two Digimon Bokomon and Neemon. Takuya tries to call forth his spirit, but it isn't working. Kouji and Tomoki backs away from Raremon, towards a huge hole in the middle of the room. The Fire symbol appears on Takuya's digivice and he evolves into Agnimon. Agnimon takes Raremon to the wall, the sludge Digimon throws his attack everywhere burning more holes to the wall. Agnimon tells Kouji to run, yet before he do more the chamber lit up in light and he de-evolves back to Takuya Raremon attacks again, aiming at them. Takuya throws himself at Tomoki, keeping him down, doing so accidentally knocking Kouji into the whole. Raremon's attack hits the wall and the hole lights up with a beam pointed straight at it. Kouji falls, but towards a Light. A spirit.

All the lights in the chamber-like cave points into the hole, lighting it up. We see Lobomon pass through Kouji before the evolution begins.

"Spirit!"

"Spirit Evolution... Wolfmon" (Eng: Execute Spirit Evolution Lobomon)

Wolfmon floats above the hole, light around him. Everyone is awed at the new evolution, even Raremon. Takuya wonders if he looked like that, and Tomoki answers "Yeah, just different." Bokomon clarifies that he is Wolfmon, the Warrior of Light. Raremon attacks, and Wolfmon evades using a light sword (like the ones from Star Wars) to slice the attack. He jumps and stabs Raremon in the head before scanning him.

Wolfmon de-evolves and we see Kouji on all four, breathing deeply. (I guess evolution takes more then you think it would.) Takuya wonders if he is okay, and says that he is sorry for what happened. Kouji simply states... "Don't touch me" which surprises the Warrior of Fire.

He presents himself as Minamoto Kouji and asks for Takuya's name. Takuya takes time to answer. Kouji confirms it before walking away. Junpei thinks he is a strange guy and Izumi thinks it is time to go.

The episode end with Kouji, leaning to a tree, watching the Poyomon fly up. "I evolved to a Digimon, this is going to be interesting."

Nothing much as far as I know. D:
