The Bully Pulpit
Season 4, Episode 40
summary written by Rachel
The episode begins with the Royal Knights sucking up Fractal Code for Lucemon.
They destroy a whole town and fly off with the Data for Lucemon.
The digidestined are walking in Steel Town. Bokomon says it's obvious that the
entire town is made of steel. Tommy comments about how clean and shiny it is.
Takuya brags about his googles. They come to a canyon that, as Tommy says. isn't
that clean and shiny. Saggitarimon appears and says that they have to had over
their obsessions. After some reasoning, he says that he means posessions. They
have a group huddle and they decide that he's not with the Royal Knights. They
aslo decide to get rid of him. Koji answers for them and he says no. He gets
angry at them.
Angemon appears and starts fighting him. He backs off and four kids named Katsuharu,
Teppei, Terou, and Chiaki appear over the side of the cliff. Tommy recognizes
two of them (Karsuharu and Teppei) as two bullies that pushed him onto the Trailmon.
In a building in Steel Town, they tell their story: After we pushed you, we got
on one of the trains. We ended up at the Forest Terminal. There we met Terou
and Chiaki. Then some person told us to get on the trains and go back home. We
stayed and Angemon been helping us from the start. The didiestined told them
that they should have gone if Ophanimon told them to. The kids ask about Ophanimon
and Chiaki pulls out her cell phone. J.P. asks about their D-tectors and it turns
out they don't have any. Katsuharu insists that it's their turn to ask questions.
He asks them what they are doing there. J.P. says that they're trying to restore
peace to the entire Digital World. Terou asks how they do that all by themselves
because Bokomon, Neemon, and Patamon couldn't fight anybody.
Takuya tries to tell them about Legendary Warriors, but Koji shuts him up. Anyways,
they don't listen. Koichi tells them about the Royal Knights. They just go into
the building. The digidestined start arguing about if they should or should not
try to protect them. Angemon appears and tells his side of the story:
Ophanimon foresaw the wickedness that was coming to the Digital World. She knew
that humans could save us, but she didn't know which ones would succeed. So she
risked putting them all in danger and called them to the Digital World. Luckily,
most were brave enough to swallow their pride and go home when she asked. Those
four remained, and as Ophanimon ordered, I have continued to protect them. Takuya
gets angry and says that he should just send them home. He could explain to them,
and if that doesn't work, he could just throw them onto a Trailmon! Koji goes
against Takuya saying that they might want to stay and make something of themselves.
Besides, if you were to come here and someone told you to go home, you wouldn't
just go home, you'd stay and try to make something for themselves.
Up in the top floor, Tommy is watching the conversation. Teppei comes in and
starts saying that Tommy's afraid because his friends aren't around to protect
him. Katsuharu interupts him to tell him that he's not going to pick on anyone
until he says so. He says they're outnumbered.
In the back, J.P. and Zoe are picking tomatoes with Terou and Chiaki. They argue
(nicely) about going home. Terou and Chiaki tell them that they don't want to
go home. Besides, they'd just be going back to school and books and everything
that makes life so boring. J.P. says they should be worrying about getting home
alive, not being bored once they get there.
Katsuharu is telling Teppei to let him go. He says that Tommy is just a little
kid that hides behind older kids. Tommy says that he's strong and they're weak
because they're hiding behind Angemon.
A rumble in the distance makes them go down to where Takuya, Koji, Koichi, Bokomon,
Neemon, and Patamon are. Saggitarimon plus a whole army of Centarumon are coming
towards them. Saggitarimon says that it is payback time for not handing over
their obssesions. Everybody says in unison: You mean posessions, not obessions.
Katsuharu and Teppei say that they're going to take care of this. They start
fighting. Angemon says that he'll fight them and that the rest of them had better
go somewhere safe.
While he's fighting, more Centaurumon sneak up on them from behind. The boys
complain about it being a trap. Tommy, Katsuharu and Teppei run towards the rest
of the group. They dodge Centaurumon's first Solar Ray, and they keep on running.
Teppei trips and can't get up. Katsuharu is torn by the choices to help his friend
and maybe be killed, or to keep running. He freezes and Centaurumon starts his
Solar Ray. Katsuharu still can't move and the Solar Ray gets even bigger.
At the last moment, Tommy rolls towards Teppei, grabs him, and rolls him away
before the Solar Ray can hit either of them. Teppei is okay. Tommy Beast Spirit
Evolves to KorIkkakumon. He gets rid of enough Centaurumon to send the rest running.
Everyone else Human Spirit Evolves and they outwit the Centaurumon.
Just as the tables turn, the Royal Knights show up. Angemon tries to fight them
and ends up being scanned. Crusadermon captures Katsuharu, Teppei, Terou, and
Chiaki in a net. The digidestined go after them, but Crusadermon uses an attack
to delay them, but not harm them. Tommy is running so fast that the attack doesn't
reach him, and he grabs the net as Dynasmon takes them towards Beanstalk Village.
