URL Redirections
If your URL is something really long, like http://www.domain.com/users/~yourname/folder, and you want a shorter name, there are plenty of free services that will do it for you. These will let you point a shorter name to your website, and some of them allow email forwarding too.
DOT.TK
DOT.TK will give you a free http://www.yourname.tk/ address, like http://www.patamon.tk/, that will redirect to your URL. You have to put up with a small popup and a fugly redirection page, though. You can also buy the domain name and use it like a normal domain. Prices start at US$4.95 per year, with a minimum 2-year registration. Also gives you 5 email forwarders.
CJB.NET
CJB.NET can give you a http://yourname.cjb.net/ redirection. It has a large popup, however there are some quirky features such as the ability to have a chat frame at the bottom of your site. Provides 100 email forwarders plus additional services (guestbook etc).
V3
Here you can choose from a whole heap of http://something.to/yourname addresses. Examples include go.to, fly.to and surf.to. Perfect for Pokémon fans, or someone just looking for a short URL!
Active.ws
You can get a http://yourname.active.ws/ address. It loads your site in a frame with ads down the bottom, though.
[Unknown name]
I don't know the name of this service, but it's pretty good. You can get http://yourname.something.com/ addresses, such as yourname.iscool.com or yourname.isonfire.com.
